What counts as one participant?
One person in one study. A participant uses one credit, or one place in a yearly allowance, for the whole study, however many tests it runs. The same person in another study or at another timepoint counts again.
When is a participant counted?
A participant you add yourself, with a participant link or an imported ID, is counted when you add them. A person who arrives through your open study link is counted when they agree to the consent form. People who open the link and leave, or decline consent, are not counted.
Which tests are on the free plan?
All 54. Building, previews and practice runs are free. Every account gets 10 free participants, then $0.99 per participant for academic and nonprofit research, one credit per participant however many tests they take. The free plan includes up to 3 active studies.
Do percentiles cost extra?
No. Percentiles come with every yearly plan and with pay as you go on the free plan, for the tests that have a published norm.
Do previews and practice runs use credits?
No. Building a study, previewing it and practice runs are free and never count as participants. Credits are used only by participants in your studies.
How does commercial pay as you go work?
Commercial and sponsored research can pay $2.49 per participant instead of buying a yearly plan, for any of the 54 tests, with scores, norms where supported and trial-level export. Each participant uses one credit, once, whatever the number of tests. Commercial credits come in packs of 25 for $62.25, 100 for $249, 500 for $999, 2,000 for $2,999, and need no eligibility statement.
Who qualifies for academic pricing?
Academic and nonprofit pricing, including academic credit packs, is for independently funded, publication-oriented work that is not commercially sponsored, used for product development or regulatory submission, or restricted for a for-profit sponsor. Sponsored university or hospital studies use commercial pricing: a commercial plan or commercial credit packs.
Can we pay by purchase order or institutional invoice?
Yes. Department, Institution, Commercial Research, Commercial Team, Enterprise, and all three-year licenses use a PO or invoice quote. Academic Research one-year licenses and participant credits, academic and commercial, can also be bought by card.
Is there a site license?
Academic Institution covers unlimited participants and researcher seats under fair use, for $6,499 a year or $15,599 for three prepaid years.
Do recruitment services cost extra?
Participants who arrive from Prolific, Sona Systems, CloudResearch Connect or Qualtrics use a credit or an allowance place like any other participant, with no added fee. Participant payments and the service's own fees are paid to that service.
